The singer was rushed to a private clinic after performing a concert in Zurich, Switzerland, on Monday night. She was taken from the venue in a vehicle with blacked-out windows at around midnight, and was ushered into the centre?s accident and emergency clinic by three members of her staff.

Rihanna left the clinic at 2.55am. It was initially unclear why she had sought treatment, but it has now been revealed she had a small problem with a rib.

"She had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn`t," her representative explained. "All is OK and the tour is going great."

The 22-year-old was well enough to take to the stage in Lyon, France, on Tuesday night.

The singer is currently completing her Last Girl On Earth tour, which includes lots of costume changes and flamboyant dance routines. Rihanna has previously said she is fiercely proud of the "unbelievable" show, which she has worked very hard on. She is keen to keep offering her fans something different by pushing herself, and thinks this series of shows does just that.

"I like to think about myself as the last girl on earth because sometimes people make decisions based on the outlook of others and, you know, to me, my life is my life," she explained, when asked about the origins of her show. "It`s my world, and I`m going to live it the way I want to. That`s how I think about everything, that way I`m focused on me, and my work. It`s a really narrow space, a focus."

Rihanna will take the tour to North America in June, where pop newcomer Ke$ha will be supporting her.
