The American fashion designer got engaged to Lorenzo in March last year, after around 12 months of dating. It has been repeatedly rumoured they pair`s nuptials were imminent, with Lorenzo saying they had a commitment ceremony on St. Barts over the New Year.

It has now been claimed the pair have actually parted ways, although no official comment has been given. "They`ve both been telling people that they broke up," a source told the New York Post newspaper.

Lorenzo has apparently denied rumours he has already left the luxury apartment they share in New York , although the publication states he will be leaving soon.

Last week, Marc`s business partner Robert Duffy got married, and the designer was best man. Lorenzo did not attend the ceremony.

Although Lorezo stated he and Marc married while on holiday at the start of the year, the wedding was not binding. Paperwork was due to be signed later this year, which is when the union would have been made official.
