The music mogul - who reportedly proposed to his make-up artist girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy, 36, on Valentine?s Day (14.02.10) - has dismissed reports he was preparing to tie the knot in the near future.

He said: "Wedding, what wedding? In spite of various people claiming to be making arrangements for our wedding, no such plans exist.

"Nothing is concrete and I`m not making any announcement yet. Everything is fine though, and will be sorted soon."

Simon, 50, also insisted he will not be enlisting any help in planning his nuptials.

He added to Reveal magazine: "When Mezhgan and myself decide the time is right, we will make our own plans."

Simon`s comments come shortly after his brother Tony, 59, claimed the couple planned to marry in four different locations across the world.

He said: "My mum is over in Los Angeles now sorting out the lovebirds and coming back, hopefully, with a wedding date. This year he`s getting married four times - once in Brighton, once in LA, once in Barbados on a yacht and once in Hollywood.`"

Sources close to the 50-year-old star have since speculated that the exclusive Necker Island in the Caribbean has been proposed as a possible wedding destination.
