The Pussycat Dolls singer has had an on/off relationship with the motor racing ace since 2007. Last year, Nicole was open about her desire to wed but Lewis, 25, reportedly thought he was too young to make such a big commitment. In January the pair parted ways, only to reunite quickly. They now realise they are destined to be together forever, with Nicole, 31, keen to wed sooner rather than later.

"Nicole has made no secret of the fact she wants to get hitched to Lewis before 2010 is over," a source explained to National Enquirer magazine. "They`re already starting to plan the big event."

Details of the big day remain a closely guarded secret, with the pair determined to keep their nuptials as private as possible.

At the time of their split, Nicole and Lewis blamed the pressures of work. British Lewis has since rented an apartment in Los Angeles so he can spend more time with his American lover, and they are now happier than ever.

"They know there will be challenges because they have different careers that can keep them apart, but they believe love conquers all," the source added. "The break-up made they realise how much they love each other, and they want to spend the rest of their lives together."
