The singer is taking an extended break from recording music to focus on her private life. She is in a stable relationship with builder Sam Cooper and has decided she wants to move to the country and settle down. The pair are currently trying for a baby and Lily is hopeful she will be a mother in the next 12 months.

Lily has stopped partying and eating junk food and is taking folic acid supplements in a bid to boost her chances of getting pregnant.

"I plan to have children in the next year," she told the July issue of Glamour magazine. "I hope in a year`s time I`m not gonna be asked to awards and I won`t be nominated because I haven`t put anything out there. ´Hopefully I can fade into oblivion.

"I`ve always been a homemaker. As for marriage, it`s his choice. But I`d like to think so. ´People say, `God, you`re so lame, you`ve got to live your life,` and I`m like, I`ve done going out and getting drunk. I`ve met someone I ´really, really like. We`re really happy together. Why would I even think about not being with him??"

During her time away from releasing new records, Lily will open a vintage clothes shop in London called Lucy in Disguise with her sister Lucy. She is also launching her own record label.

The 24-year-old star has had feuds with several stars including Katy Perry, Courtney Love and Amy Winehouse since she shot to fame. However, Lily insists she has now matured and no longer cares about being famous or winning awards - despite picking up a Brit Award and three Ivor Novello prizes this year.

"I think at that time I felt it was unfair that Amy was ´winning everything and that boys got more of a look-in than girls, and I was very angry," she admitted. "But I was a lot younger. And this time round, when I did win lots of stuff, I was kind of over it."
