Mickey Rourke is proud to be "aggressive and competitive" The `Iron Man 2` actor admits he has always preferred playing sport to acting but will walk away from all his passions if he no longer thinks he is better than everyone else, and he doesn`t think his attitude will ever change.

He said: I was motivated `cos I enjoyed competition. I enjoyed boxing and playing football more than I ever did acting. If I couldn`t go in there and knock the f**k out of the park and blow the **** away I`m working with, then let me do something else.

"It`s like if you`re on a soccer team. You want to be the best player on the field every f***ing day, and the only way you do that is the way you train. People say, `You`re so aggressive, you`re so competitive.`

"So what? What the f**k is wrong with that? I`ll be less aggressive and competitive when they put me in the ground, OK?"

The former hellraiser was one of the biggest stars of the 80s before his wild partying and difficult behaviour made him a Hollywood outcast, and he believes his problems were a result of his difficult childhood.

He explained in the September issue of Britain`s Esquire magazine: "I had issues with my childhood that I never got over. I never got the right information to heal the wounds, fix the broken pieces, so everybody paid. Anybody who came in my way paid for it like they were the enemy from the darkness where I came from."
