No survivors in Cuban plane crash No one survived in a plane crash in Cuba occurred on Thursday night in Santi Spiritus province, Cuban media said.

The plane carrying 61 passengers, including 28 foreigners, and seven crew, en route from the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba to the capital of Havana, has crashed on Thursday night near the village of Guasimal.

No Russians were on board of the plane, Cuban institute of civil aviation said in a report.

State media said the names of those on board would be released later.

The civil aviation institute said that nine Argentineans, seven Mexicans, three Dutch, two German, two Austrian, along with Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Venezuelan citizens were registered on board.

The ATR-72-212 plane was owned by the state-run AeroCaribbean airline.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
