Aeroflot gives up Russia`s largest air carrier, Aeroflot, has claimed it is ready to pay out compensation to passengers affected by last December`s flight-delay chaos.

Earlier, the company said it would compensate unlucky passengers with only one-way flight vouchers, and that anyone who wanted cash would have to go to court.

However, as fifty people followed that advice and requested a combined sum of $3 million in damages, Aeroflot decided to settle the cases out of court.

How much the airline is willing to pay remains undisclosed.

The lawsuits came after thousands of passengers were left stranded at Moscow airports after ice rain led to a transport collapse just before New Year.
