The `Mad Men` actress - who married actor Geoffrey Arend in October 2009 - admits since tying the knot she has developed even more "intense" feelings of love for her partner.

She said: "Married life suits us, it`s very good. Everyone said I would feel different after I got married and I didn`t really know how it would manifest itself in our relationship.

"But I think there`s an even more intense feeling of wanting to love each other and be protective."

The 35-year-old beauty also explained she chooses not to get "caught up in the glamour and craziness" of Los Angeles by surrounding herself with close family and friends.

Christina added to Stylist magazine: "Los Angeles is a very large city. You can get caught up in the glamour and craziness or you can find a great group of friends and stick with them. We`ve got a family of friends and we go out and do all the celebrating with the people from the show. But we also do our own thing."
