The 22-year-old actress - who separated from her `High School Musical` co-star in December after five years of dating when work commitments got in the way of their romance - is reportedly "having a blast" and is enjoying being single.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "She has been having a blast hanging out with friends. She isn`t really missing him."

The brunette beauty was recently spotted stocking up on cases of beer at her local store and allegedly told owners she was in the mood for a party.

The source said: "She said she was having a party and she was really excited."

However, Vanessa recently admitted she hadn`t ruled out the possibility of getting back together with the `High School Musical` hunk in the future.

She said: "We`re still friends. Who knows what the future will bring? We`re figuring things out."
