The `Judas` singer - who recently split from boyfriend Luc Carl - insists relationships tend to happen at unexpected times, but doesn`t think being romantically involved with someone is the key to happiness.

She said: "I would say don`t go looking for love, let love find you. That`s when it will happen.

"But you definitely don`t need a man to be happy, and that`s an important thing to remember."

Gaga also admitted she believes people can fall in love multiple times throughout their life, and thinks everyone has a soul mate.

She added to more! magazine: "I believe you can fall in love over and over again.

"I do believe in soul mates. And that`s because I`m a bit of an old romantic at heart - or a bad romantic."

The outspoken star vowed never to change herself for anyone else.

She added: "A guy needs to love me for who I am. This is the real me, so whatever you`re looking for, you`re not going to find anything else."
