The singer and husband Carey Hart welcomed daughter Willow Sage into the world earlier this month and the couple are hopeful she will grow up to have the qualities she most admires in her favourite shrub.

The `So What` singer explained: "I grew up near one. It is the most flexible tree and nothing can break it - no wind, no elements. It can bend and withstand anything. I love that sentiment and I want that for her.

"Sage is cleansing and sacred and it sounds great with Willow. It doesn`t hurt that her last name is Hart - flexible, cleansed heart."

Pink is planning to take Willow on the road with her when re-embarks on her pop career and is relishing the prospect of witnessing her daughter reach her various milestones.

In an interview with HELLO! magazine, she said: I look forward to her `firsts`. The first time she puts her feet in the ocean, the first time she feels the rain, the first time she sings, laughs?

"We can`t wait to take her on our adventures, tour, supercross. She is so lucky that she`ll have the ability to travel to all the different countries and cultures and see so much."
