Femme Fatale tour throws Spears into Russia The Femme Fatale show is coming to Russia. American pop diva Britney Spears will perform in St. Petersburg and Moscow on Thursday and Saturday within the world tour in support of her latest recording.

The critics and the songstress herself have already crowned Spears` seventh album as the best of all her creations. The long-awaited Femme Fatale was released in March this year after a three-year break and immediately became a bestseller in Russia, as well as going gold in many other countries.

On her latest recording Britney stepped aside from her earlier material, producing a heavier sound in her trademark dance songs. Collaborations with will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Luke and others secured a safe climb to the tops of charts, including top spot on the American Billboard 200.

Inspired by femme fatales throughout various times, Spears` Femme Fatale tour has already been lauded as her best yet. A thoroughly-considered performance divided into five segments features the singer changing personas. One of the performances was inspired by Marilyn Monroe, in others she turns towards an Egyptian theme, ninjas and motorcycles. All this is of course accompanied by dancers, acrobatics and fireworks.

During her visit to Russia the singer plans an extensive cultural program. She plans to see Peterhof and Dali exhibition at Moscow State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

The concert in St. Petersburg is due tonight at the IcePalace. Her Moscow gig will take place on Saturday at the Olympiisky Arena.
