Hepatitis A outbreak fixed at boarding school in Lipetsk region YELETS (Lipetsk region), November 10 - An outbreak of hepatitis A has been registered at a boarding school for disabled children in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, the chief sanitary doctor of the city told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

According to Oleg Pyatnitsky, 16 children have already been hospitalized with hepatitis. He said it was still unclear what had caused the disease. Medics thoroughly look into the incident, he stressed.

Blood samples are taken from all staffers of the boarding school as well as children. All 150 pupils of the boarding school are under systematic medical supervision.
