The couple - whose son Zachary was born via surrogate on December 25, 2010 - are looking forward to welcoming a new addition to their family, after hiring the same woman to carry their second baby.

A source told Thedaily.com: "He hired the same surrogate to make another baby. [She`s now] in her first trimester."

Elton recently revealed he is sorry he waited until his sixties to become a dad and spoke out about how much he wants a sibling for Zachary but explained, "at what stage we don`t know, but we definitely will. I don`t want him to be an only child".

He said: "I think it changes everybody. It`s the most wonderful thing that you could possibly go through.

"I regret a little bit that I didn`t do it sooner, but he has changed our lives. Everything is about him now.

"He`s gorgeous, he travels brilliantly, he so loves people, and it makes our lives - he`s the icing on the cake.

"The first thing I do every morning is have breakfast with him. He shares my breakfast. Whatever I have, he wants.

"He has my boiled egg and I have his pineapple or vice versa. I sound like I`m the only person who has ever had a kid - everyone`s been through this.

"But for me, it`s an incredible difference to what life was before."
