The `Kings of Leon` rocker - who popped the question to the model last April after just a few months of dating - confirmed the news on his twitter just hours before the couple walked down the aisle on 29.09.12.

He wrote: "Today, I get married. It`s the biggest step I`ve ever taken. I`ve dreamed about this day since I was a little girl."

Martha also confirmed their nuptials were taking place. She tweeted: "Marrying my best friend today. I`m the luckiest girl in the world."

Earlier this week a source close to the couple revealed they were planning a low-key wedding.

The source said: "They`re excited and a bit nervous. They`ve dreamed up a family affair with homespun and rustic details. Jared picked the perfect woman to settle down with."

The 25-year-old bassist proposed in Nashville with a four-carat cushion-cut diamond, set on a diamond band, which he designed himself.

Jared`s brother and bandmate Nathan is currently expecting his first child with wife Jessie Baylin, while their other sibling Caleb - the group`s singer - and his wife Lily Aldridge welcomed daughter Dixie Pearl into the world in June.
