First monument to poet Iosif Brodksy was erected in the yard of philological department of St. Petersburg University. The author of small bronze monument is sculptor Konstantin Simun.

Monument is not big: bronze head of poet is placed on bronze suitcase with poet`s name. It is difficult for common citizens (except for students of University) to see monument because in order to get in the yard one should pass janitors. Sculptor himself is surprised and glad that he realized this project.
