Microsoft will release the latest operating system in early April 2015. About it referring to personal sources told blogger Paul Carrot (Paul Thurrott). The OS will be called Windows 9.

Some parts of Windows 9, code name of which - Threshold, are already in the Network. It is expected that the system will go back to the start menu, and applications for Metro interface can be run in a desktop environment.

During 2014 Microsoft will release the update for Windows 8.1 and native OS Windows Phone 8. According to rumors, the "mobile" pack will include voice assistant Cortana, similar Siri.

Windows 8 was released in October 2012. Its peculiarity was the presence of the 2-interfaces - classical with a work Desk and a new (Metro) with "live tiles". The OS used on the computer, and on tablets.

Next year, Microsoft has updated the system to Windows 8.1. The update is returned to the operating system, press "start", however the "start menu", introduced in Windows 95, as before was missing.

According to reliable information service Net Applications statistics, the share of Windows 8 in the market on December 2013 was 6.9 percent, while the share of Windows 8.1 - 3.6 percent. The most famous of OS Windows 7 was considered with a share of 47.5%.
