Water supply from infected river resumes in China Water supply from Sungari river, poisoned by benzyl compounds after explosion at chemical plant in Czilin city, was resumed at Chinese town Harbin.

Normal water supply of town with 4-million population was resumed on November 27 at 18:00 by local time, 5 hours before planned term.

Central water supply in Harbin was shut down on Thursday morning, on November 24. Local authorities provided citizens with bottled water and bored new holes for extraction of water from underground sources.

Next town on the way of toxic water is Czyamusi, but water is supplied from underground sources and not from Sungari river there.
