State Duma may prohibit gambling industry in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi. The appropriate draft is to be submitted for Duma lower house consideration, reported an official from the State Duma lending and financial market committee. The draft provides for amendments in the "Separate kinds of activity licensing" law.
According to the member of the committee, the draft is worked out by a group of deputies. He underlined, that this initiative appeared in connection with "people?s discontent about excessive gambling distribution in the mentioned cities".
According to the draft, the list of the cities where gambling is to be prohibited , entered Moscow, St. Petersburg and the resort city Sochi.
In addition, Duma lower house is going to make tougher Internal Revenue Code concerning gambling industry. Recently, Duma budget and taxes committee has recommended to pass in the second and third reading the amendments to the law, which increase tax rate for gambling industry.
