A powerful explosion took place in garage complex on Proletrasky prospect, south of Moscow, where pyrotechnics was stored.

As a result 3 people have died, one got serious injury.

After explosion a fire with area more than 200 sq. meters has started, informed administration of Russian Emergency Ministry over Moscow.

"Signal about accident at garage complex was received at 13:40 by Moscow time. 10 fire fighting units are occupied in struggle against fire on place of occurrence", - said the source.

By tentative data, gas-cylinder has exploded.

As a reminder, the day before Russian vice-minister of Interior Affairs Alexander Chekalin appealed to citizens to be careful while using festive pyrotechnics.

"If you are near the place, where fireworks are let off, you should follow simple rules of safety: don`t approach closer than prescribed distance, don`t use expired pyrotechnical goods, pay maximum attention while letting fireworks off", - said Chekalin.
