Government has established the federal standard of maximum month charges for housing and communal services per 1 sq. meter of accommodation - 41.6 rubles. Average cost of overhaul expenses is established on level of 3.2 rubles per 1 sq. meter.

As a reminder, appropriate decree N541 was signed by Russian premier-minister Mikhail Fradkov on August 29, 2005. In particular, in Moscow and Moscow oblast the charges for housing and communal services in 2006 will amount to 40.6 and 42.8 rubles per 1 sq. meter, correspondingly. In St. Petersburg and Leningradskaya oblast - 34.8 and 41.2 rubles.

The highest maximum level of charges was established in Koryaksky autonomous okrug (193.7 rubles), Evensky (191), Chukotsky (147.8), Taimyrsky (122.8), Yamalo-Nenetsky (112.5).

According to document, Russian government has established following federal standards of charges for accommodation and housing services: federal standard of civil payments in amount of 100% economically grounded expenses for maintenance and repair of accommodation, communal services; federal standard of maximum allowable part of self-expenses on payment for apartment and communal services in amount of 22% from total family income; federal standard of social norm of accommodation area in amount of 18 sq. meters per every citizen.
