Putin satisfied with his trip to Yakutia Vladimir Putin is satisfied with his trip to Yakutia. Talking to journalists when attending Yakutia National Fine Art Museum, President said, that he "concretely discussed the problems of East Siberia development and in immediate Sakha Republic (Yakutia) development"

"We have discussed the problems of interaction with the Federal centre. It very important for Yakutia and for the whole country to pay more attention to the big plans, which are possible to be realized in East Siberia. It could push East Siberia to further development", - Putin said.
He mentioned that huge attention, which the Republic authorities pay to social issues resolution, as well as to culture development.

"This museum was opened in November 2005", reminded President. "And it is not the only establishment of this kind"

Putin told that during his previous visit to Yakutia he had visited musical boarding school. He had been surprised "with how much care the children are treated, and how much attention is paid to preparation of culture workers". The school graduates and pupils showed a performance on the stage of the Opera and Ballet theatre. "It was a real pleasure to watch them", said Putin. President said he had scheduled this trip for a long time, and it contemporized with Orthodoxy Christmas.

"It is not too cold here", he shareâ his impression. "It was - 45oC, and now it has grown "warmer" to - 42oC"

Putin wished the Republic inhabitants "a happy New Year and a merry Christmas from the heart". Most Yakutia population are Orthodoxy Christians.
