Ukraine counts on 1 October or Earlier to open the so-called small reverse gas via Slovakia, said the head of the Ministry of energy of Ukraine Yuriy Prodan at a press conference in Brussels on Wednesday.

" I hope that from 1 October or Earlier will be able to start a small Slovak reverse, " said the Ukrainian Minister.

at the end of may Prodan said that from September 1 gas deliveries to Slovakia will be conducted through not been used before the gas pipeline Vojny-Uzhgorod. This so-called small reverse provides for the possibility of physical delivery to 22 million cubic meters of gas per day, that is about 8 billion cubic meters per year.

earlier on Wednesday he said that Ukraine still hopes to launch the " big reverse " gas via Slovakia up to 30 billion cubic meters per year.

Kyiv is trying to establish reverse gas via Slovakia, but recognizes that it cannot be done without the consent of Gazprom.
