Salvage ship "Rubin" will arrive to Kurile island Iturup by Friday evening for rescuing of Russian motor ship "Varandei" from seashore sandbank. This was informed in sea rescue-coordination center "South-Sakhalinsk".

Motor ship "Varandei", owned by one of Sakhalin companies, was stranded the day before to sandbank on leaving Olya bay of Iturup island.

5 fuel tanks were punched on ship but leak of oil products was not registered. Crew of 11 sailors was not hurt. "Varandei" was transporting cargo between Sakhalin and Kurile islands.
