Recollection day of saint Seraphim Sarovsky will take place in Svyato-Troitsky Seraphimo-Diveevsky nunnery, where his relics are buried.

On eve of the holiday bishop of Nizhniy Novgorod and Arzamas Georgy headed all-night vigil in main Troitsky cathedral and served mess in the morning.

This Sunday Russian Prthodox Church piously reveres saint Seraphim`s memory.

Saint Seraphim (in life Prokhor Sidorovich Moshin) was born in 1754 in Kursk in respected merchant`s family. In 1793 Seraphim became the celibate priest. By own will he retired from society to uninhabited places, kept strict fast, spent time working and praying. He took a 3-year vow of silence. After seclusion, Seraphim healed suffering people from physical and mental diseases. Thousands of believers visited him in forest.

The main afflatus of life of the saint was afflatus about Saint Spirit - third person in Saint Trinity.
