Vladimir Torlopov assumed office of Komi republic head

On January 15 solemn session of republican State Council, devoted to assumption of Komi head office by Vladimir Torlpov, took place in Syktyvkar.

After Russian and Komi hymns were heard, Vladimir Torlopov standing and putting hand on republican Constitution, took the oath on 2 state languages - Komi and Russian. After Komi Sate Council legalized declaration by fact of head office assumption, Vladimir Torlopov was handed certificate of regional head.

Congratulations from Russian president Vladimir Putin were read out by arrived to inauguration plenipotentiary of president in North-West federal region Ilya Klebanov. He wished Vladimir Torlopov to fulfill commitments honestly and reminded that his work should be directed at improvement of population living standards.

"I wish all Your plans to realize and we will assist You in that. It is a pleasure to help person, who you trust and consider professional", - noted Klebanov.

About 140 guests were invited to inauguration ceremony.

As a reminder, on December 7, 2005 republican parliament empowered Vladimir Torlopov for second term of regional head. All 27 delegates of republican parliament unanimously supported his candidature.
