Accident happened today on one of peace-making posts in Nabakevi village, in region of Georgian-Abkhaz conflict.

Russian serviceman-peace-maker Sergey Zinchenko shot the colleague by accident. As headquarters of Russian peace-makers informed, Roman Lyubertsev was wounded at head and died 20 minutes later on the way to hospital in Zugdidi town.

The incident is investigated by officials of peace-maker`s headquarters and representatives of Georgian law machinery organs. By tentative data, it was an accident.

Russian army faces serious problem of high death-rate among servicemen even at peace. According to official data of Defence Ministry more than 660 people died in 2005 by October. More than half of deaths were traffic accidents and suicides. Only in August 101 servicemen died in army: 30 of them died as a result of traffic rules breaking, 28 - in accidents, 24 soldiers committed suicide, 2 were killed as a result of violation of regulated relationships.

Meanwhile Defence Ministry of Russia officially publishes information about all deaths among servicemen, including dead in military operations.
