Popular singer, the prima Donna of the Russian stage Alla Pugacheva left without its own theatre. LLC "Theatre songs of Alla Pugacheva"planned the construction of the theatre on Vasilievsky island, St. Petersburg, reported the forced termination of the project.

"Today the Theatre songs of Alla Pugacheva has already invested in the creation of a cultural and business center close to 100 million rubles.. In the emerged situation the song Theatre Alla Pugacheva forced to renounce intentions on realization of the project and prepares the statement of claim for compensation of investment expenses", - is told in the press-release distributed by the company PMI. There's also States that "the implementation of the investment project becomes impossible due to "mistakes and omissions of various committees and the government of Saint-Petersburg".

Let's note, earlier the Kuibyshev district court of St. Petersburg has recognized illegal the approval documents for the project. Investor lays the blame on the city Committee for urban planning and architecture, as the site for the theatre was allocated contrary to the requirements of the General project of St. Petersburg. According to the General plan, this area should be a highway.

Director General of LLC "Theatre songs of Alla Pugacheva" Yuri Golovanov, commented on this decision: "We act on the basis of an order of the government of St. Petersburg, which allocated this site. If formed urban error is not our fault". Among other things it is told, that on 7 July investor reported in Smolny on the impossibility of further implementation of the project. At the same time the investor has invested in it about 100 million rubles.. in Addition to 2011 was paid for the lease of the site: more than 2,5 million roubles on a quarterly basis.

Kuibyshev district court of St. Petersburg declared criminal decision of the Committee on urban planning and architecture, which has overcome the erection of the Theatre songs of Alla Pugacheva in the area, created for the development of the seafront promenade at the mouth of the Smolenka river. At the end of October city Tribunal of Saint-Petersburg has fully satisfied the claims of the plaintiffs about the criminal and nonperforming rules of land use and construction in the part of excavation site, created for the erection of the Theatre songs of Alla Pugacheva. This decision was challenged by the Governor of St. Petersburg, however, the Supreme Tribunal of Russia upheld it.

In early August 2012 town-planning Council of St. Petersburg confirmed the idea of construction at the mouth of the Smolenka river on Vasilievsky island Theatre songs, but is not recommended to increase the maximum height of houses up to 70 meters. According to the project, the theatre has undertaken to include the stage with the capacity of 6 thousand people, exhibition halls, cafes and restaurants, and even hotels and apartments. It was expected that the complex is in the top will reach heights of up to 70 meters and is valid on the area of 40 meters.
