Freezing to death mother covered son with body. History of Roman Agafonov and his mother goes from one freezing house to another.

The day of tragedy Agafonov family was greeting guests. In the evening alcohol drinks came to the end. Mother of little boy Elena volunteered to go to the near-by store and started to dress the child - tights, trousers, hat, fur coat and valenki. Elena wore only light coat because the store was a stone`s throw distance by her estimates. She didn`t take 30-degree frost into consideration.

They were only 30 meters from the house when Lena froze and fell down, she couldn`t stand up. Bought alcohol was lying nearby, in the bag.

The family didn`t remember about Lena and child and went to bed. As Lena`s brother came out to the street at 8:00 a.m. he heard weak whining from snowdrift.

"It was snowing all night. Lena and the boy got inside large snowdrift, - said doctors in hospital. - When they were dug out, a child was delirious. Lena was dead for a long time".

Crying Roma`s father started to rub frost-bitten legs with the alchohol.

"The boy spent at least 9 hours at frost, - said doctors. - He was hospitalized with fantastic temperature of 24 degrees centigrade while biological limit is 28 degrees.

"We were afraid that legs would be amputated, - said a doctor in charge of the case Roman Litvienko. - There is no other way at 4-th stage of the chilblain. But God blessed the child. On Sunday, third day after the tragedy, doctors were amazed: "Legs are alive! Medical treatment helps!" Now we refused from amputation. The child smiles, plays toys. He calls home by toy telephone. To mother".

Though Lena was not a good mother (she almost lost parents rights once) but she committed a small deed - covered a child with numbing body. And even after death warmed the son up all night.
