Russian authorities didn`t notify Great British Embassy in Moscow about arrest of 2 suspects in espionage in favor of Great Britain.
"British Embassy was not informed about any arrests by Russian authorities. It is unclear if the arrested are British or Russian citizens", - informed the deputy chief of British Embassy press-service Anton Atrashkin.
Earlier the delegate of State Duma, ex-director of Russian Federal Security Service Nikolai Kovalev announced that 2 arrested British spies started to testify about British intelligence activity on territory of Russia.
Russian special services were interested in 4 British diplomats - assistant of official representative of British intelligence in Russia Paul Cronton, second secretary of the Embassy Mark Dou, secretary-registrar of the embassy Christopher Piers and secretary-registrar Andrew Flemming. sections: Politics, World News |
