312 people saved from ice-floe in Okhotskoye sea According to the Russian Emergency ministry, 312 people has been saved from an ice-floe in Okhotskoye sea near Sakhalin coast.

"Rescue operations was finished by 9.30 a.m. Moscow time"

The emergency occurred in Mordvinov gulf. According to the Emergency Ministry official, the operation involved 5 boats, one launch and three helicopters. 21 Emergency Ministry worker took part in the operation.

Main Administration of the RussianEmergency Ministry in Sakhalin region has been warning fishermen about risk of ice-fishing since the beginning of January.

"The coast fast ice has not formed yet, ice-floes breaks are possible every moment", said the Administration press service.
