7 people have been injured at an explosion on Novokuibyshevsky refinery plant in Samara region.

According to Volga-Ural regional centre of the Russian Emergency Ministry, on Sunday an explosion of tanks with oil occurred on Novokuibyshevsky refinery plant, followed by fire.

The area of fire constituted about 300 square meters. A control room threatened to collapse.
27 fire brigade were working at the scene.

As a result of emergency 7 people were hospitalized, no fatalities reported.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
