Foreign Ministry: Moscow may respond to a ban on entry artists in Latvia
Moscow reserves the right to adequate measures in response to the decision of the Latvian authorities to ban the entry of Russian artists, said the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. on July 21, the Ministry was called the Ambassador of Latvia in Russia Astra Kurme.

" The Ambassador stated that this unfriendly step taken in line with the anti-Russian line of official Riga in the context of the events in Ukraine, can not adversely affect the status of bilateral relations. All responsibility for this falls on the Latvian side. We reserve the right to an adequate response, " said the report, published on the Internet representative office on the first day of the week.

first it was announced that the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Latvia has made in the " black list " of persons banned from entering the country, the names of three figures of Russian culture - Iosif Kobzon, Oleg Gazmanov and Alla Perfilovo, popular under the stage name Valeria. As informs the Ministry, this decision is connected with the opinions expressed by these artists position in connection with joining of Crimea to Russia, and in relation to the events in Ukraine.
