Detachment of battleships of Russian Black Sea Fleet under the command of vice-admiral Vasily Kondakov put out to Mediterranean Sea for participation in antiterrorist NATO operation "Active efforts". Group of NATO officers will deliver lectures about forth-coming operation on the board of missile cruiser "Moscow".

Practical goals will be realized by battleships of Russian Navy and NATO naval forces during mutual trainings.

Russian sailors will also participate in memorable events devoted to regular anniversary of devastating earthquake in Messina (Italy). In 1908 sailors of Russian Imperial Fleet relieved victims of the town destructed by disaster.
