Explosion of natural gas is considered the main version of the accident on the territory of battalion "Vostok" location, the chairman of Chechnya People`s Assembly Dukhava Abdurakhmanov said.

"It was gas explosion, according to Prosecutor`s Office data, it? officials are working at the scene at the moment", Abdurakhmanov said at the press conference on Wednesday.

Explosion occurred on the territory of battalion "Vostok" location in Kurchaloy on Tuesday.

A suite is filed on the fact of explosion on Article 219 (Preventive fire-fighting regulations violation) and Article 293 (dereliction of duty) of the Russian Federation Criminal Code.

According to Chechya`s Prosecutor`s Office data, the explosion resulted it 12 people dead and 22 people injured.
