The press-service of the Russian Emergency Ministry in Chelyabinsk region has informed, that the leak was discovered on 1468 km of oil-pipeline Nizhnevartovsk-Kurgan-Kuibyshev. In the course of repair works. at the stage of oil pumping out, the binding was torn off. As a result, the oil ran out of the pipe, with subsequent inflammation of the area of 100 square meters on security zone of oil-trunk pipeline.

The fire was extinguished in three hours. The accident destroyed a transfer pump unit on KAMAZ base, material damage constituted about 500 thousand rubles. At present works on gathering oil are going on at the scene, the threat of oil entering rivers is absent.
