Vaccine for protection of a human against "bird flu" A (H5N1) was synthesized in "Immunopreparat" enterprise in Bashkiria.

Vaccine has 3 modifications, which are sent for tests to Volgograd oblast. Several millions rubles were spent for production of the vaccine.

"Producers estimated all test samples of vaccine as effective but more suitable modification will be determined during investigations with participation of at least 20 volunteers", - said general director of enterprise Makhamat Alsynbaev.

If investigations are successful, "Immunopreparat" has enough powers for mass production of vaccine. "If tests reveal low efficiency of produced vaccine, we are ready to search for another medicine", - said Alsynbaev.

As a reminder, 80 people died from this disease in Asian countries since 2003. Experts say that people fell sick of bird flu during direct contact with infected birds. But scientists are afraid that H5N1 stamp can mutate and spread from human to human.
