Issues of air defense of the CIS will discuss in Vladivostok
Meeting of the coordination of the Department on problems of air defense (PVO) at the Council of defense Ministers of countries - members of CIS will be held on Wednesday in Vladivostok, informed the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation.

" in the meeting of the Department will take part the delegations of the ministries of defence of the Russian Federation, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The parties will discuss the results of the Department's activity in the first half of 2014, the organization of events of operative and combat training of the United air defense system of the CIS next year, and a number of other issues on improvement and development of the United air defense system ", - is informed in the report.

in addition, the delegation will become familiar with specificity of work of the personnel and equipment of the United air defense system of the CIS, located in the far East, and the work of ship air defense of the Pacific fleet.

The previous meeting of the coordination of the Department on problems of air defence at the Council of defense Ministers of the countries-participants of CIS took place in April of the current year in the capital Yerevan.

United system of air defense of the States-participants of CIS (OS CIS air defence) created on the basis of the contract of ten countries of the Commonwealth, signed on February 10, 1995 in Alma-ATA. The term of the contract is not limited, it is open to accession by other countries sharing provisions of the Concept of protection of the air space of the countries - participants of the CIS and the Plan of interaction of the personnel and equipment of the joint air defense system. Now part of the United air defense system of the countries - participants of the CIS includes eight countries: Russian Federation, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
