Powerful snowfall struck Moscow at night and initiated many problems on capital roads. The majority of roads are snow-blocked.

There are snowdrifts and ice-crusted ground on many streets. The visibility is low because of snowstorm. Moscow traffic inspection has appealed to drivers to refrain from driving in order to prevent numerous traffic jams in town. Drivers are advised to follow all traffic rules, distance and parking regulations.

Moscow administration informed that communal services take all measures for liquidation of snowfall consequences. Over 7000 snow-ploughs operate in town.

By weather forecast, it will be -14?-16 degrees centigrade in town. Almost all territory of country stays under influence of cyclones. But not all cyclones have brought warming. The temperature in Southern federal region and in south of Western Siberia is below the norm. It is still frosty in Yakutat, Kolyma and Kamchatka.
