Mayor of London criticizes Luzhkov for banning of gay-parade in Moscow The mayor of London Ken Livingston subjected to criticism the decision of the mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov about the prohibition for conducting of gay-parade in the Russian capital.

This opinion London mayor expressed at the meeting of the mayors of four largest European capitals - London, Paris, Berlin and Moscow- taking place in Berlin.

Livingston called his Moscow colleague to act "in the spirit of respect of the world rights of man". According to the data of British tele-broadcasting corporation, the mayor of London reminded Yuri Luzhkov that the equality indicates the right of people to carry out events which signify the contribution of different associations to the life of city.

Ken Livingston in contrast to his Berlin and Parisian colleagues is not the adherent of nontraditional sexual orientation. However, he actively supports and participates in the yearly "parades of pride" which the representatives of sexual minorities hold on the streets of the British capital.
