Uzbekistan ratified allied treaty with Russia The supreme chamber of Uzbek parliament has ratified the Treaty between Russia and Uzbekistan about allied relationships.

The chairman of the senate commission on foreign affairs Sodyk Safaev has announced that "treaty ratification is very important for foreign politics of Uzbekistan and whole region".

"The raise of Russian-Uzbek relationships to a new quality level is a continuation of historical development of the countries and progressive relationships since 2000, which has led to signing of the agreement", - noted the head of the commission.

As a reminder president of Russia Vladimir Putin and president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov have concluded the Treaty about allied relationships between Russia and Uzbekistan in November 2005.
