Government reviewed new rules of road Russian government called off the ban on exploitation of automobiles with red lights.

This was announced by the chief of State machinery Sergey Naryshkin. By his words, the resolution about abolishment of the ban was signed by premier-minister Mikhail Fradkov and came into force in March.

As Narishkin explained, Fradkov charged Ministry of Interior Affairs to analyse norms of red lights` use. The main purpose of analysis was a clarification of possible positive effect of new rules introduction and expenses for their realization.

Thorough analysis has led to abolishment of the norms. Moreover, examination of demand for special chair use during children transportation was postponed till 2007.

As a reminder, attempt of red lights prohibition caused mass protest action among automobilists in the beginning of the year.
