The Museum of Crimea ready in court to prove their right to the collection of Scythian gold, which is now housed in the archaeological Museum in Amsterdam, said Last news Director of the Central Museum of Tauris Andrei Malgin.

according to him, the decision of the Museum in the Netherlands, where artifacts is, on the one hand, intermediate, back - predictable and gives a good chance to return the collection of Crimean museums.

" For us, the decision of the Museum in the Netherlands is not unexpected, we were ready for it, although, of course, we cannot say that it suits us, because we would like to get your things back, but back as long as we don't get it, and it's unfortunate, " said Malgin.

The collection of Scythian gold was removed from the Crimean museums on exhibition in the archaeological Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam in early February, even before the Crimea reunited with Russia. The collection includes archaeological finds from five museums, and among them 4 Crimean, among them the Central Museum of Tauris. The Ministry of culture of Ukraine stated that the exhibits will be returned to Kiev, because recognized as state property of Ukraine.

Crimea and Sevastopol became the Russian regions after held there on March 16 referendum in which an overwhelming number of residents were in favour of joining the Federation.
