2 people died and 30 families stayed without accommodations as a result of fire in Irkutsk oblast, reported press-service of regional administration of Emergency Ministry.

A fire occurred in 2-storied wooden building of hostel in Ust-Ilimsk town. Firemen fought the fire for 7 hours but the building burnt to ashes. 2 people died in accident - 22-year old woman and her 3-year old son.

About 100 people lived in 30 rooms of the hostel. At present moment 34 burnt down persons are placed in municipal hostels, the rest temporarily moved to relatives and acquaintances.

Rude violations of fire safety rules were revealed in hostel earlier. In January of last year inspection checked the object and reported about 8 violations. Then administrative action was brought against director and power engineering specialist of "Vidservice" company serving the hostel.
