According to the detailed data, 16 people got poisoned with drinking water, one of them died, the chief of PR department of the Chief Administration for Emergency Situation and Fire Safety in Moscow region Faat Khakimov has reported.

"The injured were Gastarbeiters and worked at the construction site in the town of Jubileiny. 44 year old builder from Mordovia Victor Melnikov died of poisoning", Khakamov said.

According to him, 13 people were hospitalized, tow men in grave condition were taken into resuscitation ward, but on Friday one of them was transferred to the general ward.

As Khamdamov noted, the analysis of water samples from the drilling, which was used by the workers showed concentration of nitrite three times higher than it is maximum allowable. High concentration of potassium salt in the blood of the suffered was detected.

There are two inhabitants of near Moscow, one inhabitant of Tver, seven citizens of Tajikistan and two citizens of Uzbekistan among the affected.

The investigation of the accident has been started.
