Brussels may reject the idea of imposing on the last working day of the week new sanctions on the Russian capital, said the European diplomatic source.
" At noon today to begin the meeting of the Department authorized permanent EU countries on the issue of introduction of new sanctions against Russia. The purpose of this meeting is to prepare a package (sanctions). Then the last word will remain with the member States of the EU to accept it or not, taking into account the facts on the ground, " explained the source ITAR-TASS. Before the last working day of the week the foreign Minister of great Britain Philip Hammond said that in connection with the crisis in Ukraine towards Russia must be entered fresh punishment. At the same time, according to him, the sanctions will be cancelled, if, on the South-East of Ukraine will be a cease fire. On Thursday, leaders of some EU countries, the head of Barack Obama and the Ukrainian head Petro Poroshenko told about the need for more sanctions against Russia. Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. At the end of July, the EU and the US from point penalties against private individuals and organizations turned to measures against entire sectors of the Russian economy. In response, Russia has restricted the import of food items from countries that have introduced in relation to penalties: USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway.
