The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has received five hundred million dollars the first loan from the world Bank, the funds will be aimed at reforming the country's financial sector, said the press service of the Ministry on the first day of the week.
" The loan was raised for 16 years with a seven year grace period and a variable interest rate (on the date of signing - 0, 63%, one-time Commission - 0, 25%, according to the report, RIA " Novosti ". This is the first part of the aid package from the world Bank Ukraine total up to 3, $ 5 billion, which was approved in March this year. The total loan portfolio of the world Bank group in Ukraine has 12 projects and loans amounting to 4, $ 2 billion. The loan will support urgent measures to reform the banking sector and the implementation of a comprehensive program of crisis management in the financial sector of Ukraine. For example, the funds will be spent on strengthening the operational, financial and regulatory capacity of the Fund for guaranteeing deposits of individuals, improve the solvency of the banking system, strengthening the legal and institutional framework to increase the sustainability and efficiency of the banking system in the long term.
