in addition, it is determined that the shares of the militia, vigilantes, and other persons approved by the leadership of the Crimea, which caused harm or damage committed in order to protect public order and the protection of the interests of the Crimea and Sevastopol in the period from 27 February 2014 to 1 January 2015, except for acts done in order to enrich and other selfish motives, are acts committed in a state of extreme necessity.

Crimea and Sevastopol left the Ukraine and became Russian regions after the last in March referendum in which an overwhelming number of residents were in favour of joining the Peninsula in Russia.
