Parliament must urgently clarify administrative units of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, so that there could pass local elections, said the press service of the CEC of Ukraine.
" in order to ensure proper preparation and holding of an extraordinary local elections in some districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, scheduled for Sunday 7 December 2014, the Commission appealed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in respect of urgent decision-making provided by the first article of the law of Ukraine on September 16, the " special order of the local government in some areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions ", - said in the report. This article of the law stipulates that districts, cities, towns, villages, where we introduce a special order of the local government are determined by decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, RIA " Novosti ". CEC commented that if Council in the near future will not define such areas, they have the opportunity not to pass time parliamentary elections scheduled for 18 October.
